We were delighted to welcome Suffolk Costal MP, Jenny Riddell Carpenter, to school today. Jenny spent time with Miss Fairweather learning about our brilliant school and discussing some of the challenges facing rural primary schools in particular. She then visited all the classes. She was very impressed with the children's understanding of our parliamentary system and all the classes enjoyed hearing about Big Ben. It was lovely that the children listened so politely to Jenny, asked great questions and showed real interest.

Well done to everyone in the Collective Worship committee for organising and holding an excellent jumble sale to raise money for Tearfund's Toilet Twinning. We raised £92 which has paid for the resources and skill development for building a new toilet in the Kabale District of Uganda. The local people are also given sanitation and hygiene workshops.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make the jumble sale possible.

A big thank you to ACES for our new football goals which arrived this week and were expertly put together by some of our Year 6 pupils - serious problem solving and team work in action!

2025 Sports Day, what a fantastic day full of teamwork, fun, and school spirit! Well done to all students for working hard and taking part in a range of exciting activities.

Wow, what a great start to Sports Week! The skipping Ninja ran workshops to all the classes across the school and demonstrated the importance of perseverance. 

Our team of Elm class scientists welcomed children in Year 5 and Year 6 from Melton, Sandlings, Rendlesham, Kyson and St Mary’s primary school to our Great Science Share. They ran investigations for all the children at Eyke and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all. 

Well done to Year 5 and 6 who came 3rd place in the Swimming Gala!
