Wellbeing Committee

A welcome from Amelie, Year 5, a Wellbeing Committee member.

I'm from Eyke C of E Primary School. In my committee, we support the well-being of other students and teachers. A while ago, we discovered that the mess on our buddy benches was increasing so, to do something about it, we clean them every two months! Also, we did an assembly about keeping them clean and stopping people from standing on them (which happened regularly).

Hello Yellow Day was the first celebration the Well Being Committee made and it was a huge success. Everyone got to wear their own clothes as long as it had only a touch of yellow in it.

Thank you for listening,

Amelie Dorman.

A welcome from Flo, Year 6, a Wellbeing Committee member.

At our school (Eyke C of E Primary School), we have got many different committees; I am a member of the Wellbeing Committee. As a member of the Wellbeing Committee it is my job to make sure that everyone is feeling positive and happy. If anyone in our school is ever feeling upset or negative, ill they have to do is sit on the Buddy Benches (which are still surprisingly new to the school) and wait for a member of the Wellbeing Committee to check on them.

Young Minds - Hello Yellow Day!

A huge thank you to everyone for supporting our Hello Yellow mental Health Awareness Day - we raised £86 for the Young Minds Charity.

ACES will also be contributing some of the proceeds from their tuck shop so we will keep you posted.

Cleaning the Buddy Bench for the new term!

Today we posted Wellbeing Affirmations around school, in the cloakrooms and on the playground

Our new Buddy Bench

The Wellbeing Committee are delighted to unveil their new Buddy Bench. Please pop along to meet our wellbeing ambassadors at break times. You can identify them as they wear a red bib. They are there to support anyone who needs a friend or has a worry.
