The wearing of school uniform is expected as it helps children to have a sense of belonging to the school. The colours of our school uniform are blue and grey. We expect children to be smart for school- one of our school rules links to this.
School uniform consists of: grey trousers or skirt (or smart shorts in the summer)
pale blue shirt or blouse (not polo shirt)
royal blue v neck jumper or cardigan
black smart shoes, not trainers
black, grey, white or blue socks or tights
Girls – can wear blue/white checked dresses for the summer. Hair bands and clips should be in suitable school colours and no large bows should be worn.
Shoes – sensible and safe footwear is essential. School shoes should be black with fastenings that the child can manage. High or narrow heels should not be worn.
Jumpers, cardigans and shower jackets with the school logo are now available at PMG School Wear, 40 Westgate Street, Ipswich IP1 3ED or online from https://pmgschoolwear.co.uk
Children should have their P.E. kit in school ideally in a bag at all times.
The P.E. kit consists of blue/black shorts, white T-shirt and plimsolls.
A tracksuit or jogging bottoms and sweatshirt and trainers are also needed for winter use.
Swimming – trunks (not shorts) or one-piece costume, swimming hat, towel, small towel
(for standing on) and beach shoes (for going to and from the pool).
It is essential that all items of clothing, including P.E. kit, be named.
For safety reasons jewellery should not be worn in school as it can become tangled or caught. If children have pierced ears then only studs are acceptable and these will need to be removed by the pupil for P.E. and swimming or covered with adhesive tape.
Mobile phones are not permitted in school because they may get lost or damaged.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
