Barclays Equal Access School!
Fri 27 Mar 2026Barclays Equal Access Award for Girls’ Football
We are delighted to be recognised with the Barclays Equal Access Award for Girls’ Football, an accolade created by Barclays in partnership with The Football Association’s Girls’ Football School Partnerships programme.
This award celebrates schools that are actively promoting and providing equal access to football for girls, ensuring that they have the same opportunities to play, enjoy and succeed in the sport as boys.
The initiative is part of a nationwide effort led by Barclays and the FA to break down barriers in schools and increase participation by creating inclusive environments where every girl can take part in football, both in PE lessons and through extra-curricular activities.
Receiving this award highlights our commitment to equality, participation and sport-for-all — inspiring confidence, teamwork and a lifelong love of physical activity among our pupils.

French Day
Fri 27 Mar 2026Yesterday we enjoyed French Day: Elm Class treated KS1 to a fashion show they had written and performed and Willow Class taught KS1 some traditional French playground games. In Ash and Cedar the children learnt about Henri Matisse and created collages in the same style while learning some colour names in French. We also had a French patisserie in the hall with every child doing some baking - there are lots of photos on the gallery page on the website.

World Book Day
Fri 06 Mar 2026We have loved celebrating World Book Day today. The potato and spoon book characters are amazing - what a creative group of children! In class the children have been immersing themselves in literature and writing some beautiful responses. And at lunch time we were treated to a special hotdog lunch.
Have a look at the gallery for a few more photos from the day.
