Restorative Justice Committee
The team decided this week to offer a drop in session before our weekly meeting to allow children across the school to have the opportunity to bring forward any behaviour concerns they have. We will discuss and formulate a plan for addressing these at our committee meeting.
Next drop in:
Friday 14th March at 12.30pm
The Restorative Justice Committee spoke in assembly this week about how to talk through any disputes on the playground. The would like children to talk through what has happened and try to put things right when they do go wrong. The team have decided to monitor this throughout Spring 2 by talking to class teachers each day.
A welcome from Jacob, Year 6, a Restorative Justice Committee member.
At Eyke Primary we have made a Restorative Justice committee. Our group meets often to talk about how the children of Eyke Primary behave. The phrase Restorative Justice means that when people are mean to one another we restore justice (and that's where we come in). We are trying to stop bullying an promote outstanding behaviour (which means really good).
"Our school is a safe place," has been said by our committee.
A welcome from Silas, Year 6, a Restorative Justice Committee member.
At Eyke Primary we highly value that we sustain a good behaviour level. We have established a behaviour committee known as "Restorative Justice". We come together to talk about any recent problems or events. Recently we presented an assembly on Odd Sock Day, an nationwide event that we raise money for to promote anti-bullying. In conclusion our school aims to have outstanding behaviour most of the time. If I were to be at at the school, I would not be worried about bullying.
Odd socks day! Promoting difference and acceptance!
The Restorative Justice Committee presented an assembly to the school asking everyone to celebrate difference and explaining racism and the effects it has.
